How much time and money are you spending today to compete with the millions of other vacation rental websites? How much time and money do you spend ensuring that the right combination of letters, words, and spaces are keeping you on the top of the lists that Google, Yahoo! and Bing are providing for your customers?

Each of the millions of vacation rental companies is striving to land on Yahoo!’s first page of search result. It would be foolish to ignore this marketing avenue. However, as one among millions, your advertising and marketing efforts on the internet produce limited results.

Getting and converting traffic to your site is the goal. You may spend lots of money on Adwords, sponsored searches, and SEO every year. It’s hard to spend that money during your area’s slow times (it’s hard to spend that money ANY time if your conversion rate is low). What if there was a way to get your past customers directly to your site?

Here are two key points vacation property managers need to remember: 1. Your site is visited by “shoppers.” Shoppers may or may not convert to paying customers for many different reasons. You have customers already. They will probably return to your destination for another vacation – will they use you to find and book their accommodations? 2. Your site is optimized to certain sets of keywords. Is your site in the same position on search results? Can you risk that past renters will use the same keywords to find you again?

The good news is that you can get most all of your past renters coming back to you. You now can market and advertise to your past renters with new property manager tools and software that are incredibly user-friendly and inexpensive! Your past guests want to come back to your travel hot spot. Using software that is available to you today will allow you to stand out from all the property managers in your area the next time one of your past guests is ready to book a vacation home, cabin, condo, villa or room.

Find A Trip Deal For Your Vacation And Go!

Wondering if you’ll be able to take the same kind of vacation you took last year? The state of the economy this year and record unemployment levels may increase your concern about taking a trip at all. The good news is that the economic climate is producing lots of trip deals and discounts…you just need to know where to look and you’ll be able to enjoy a winter getaway with your family and friends. Searching for trip deals on airfare, gas, ticket and vacation rentals has never been easier.

You may be surprised that you can afford to visit one of the pricey resorts your family has vacationed at in the past thanks to all the discount codes, coupons and free extra night stay being offered right there where you sit assuming you are reading this on your computer. Online trips are easy to plan using the internet. Likewise, deals and discounts for your trip are just as easy to find. Here is the key to finding the perfect deal for your next trip. Using your browser, type in the words “trip deals” and faster than a blink of an eye you will be provided with companies that have the rack rates on just about everything you need to get to your destination within budget.

As in the past, though, most families are planning their trips for the popular times: before, during and after Christmas and New Year’s. Trips on those days may still hold premium pricing – which is no surprise (some things will never change!). So if you can be flexible and schedule your trip just one day earlier or later, you’ll still be able to find great trip deals. You may arrive earlier or later, you may have to make an additional stop on your way there or back, but all the days in between will be great!

As vacation rentals become the hot ticket for family holidays, a deal on that ocean front or mountain top rental can easily be had by using the tips described above. Owner and property managers are certain to give travelers deals on trips up to their second home that are now being offer as a vacation home to help cover the mortgage. A search using “book vacation rentals” will have you booking that extra night for free if you play your days right.

If you’re pretty flexible about where you want to go on vacation, simply enter your travel hot spot on one of these trip deal sites and view all of the packages and discounts that are available. Hotels, vacation rentals and airlines are notorious for reducing rates during a slow economy. Your internet search results will allow you to compare your trip costs and certainly render deals by selecting less traveled days and locations. Road trips can be fun as well to save on airline tickets. Gas prices are not as elevated as they were if you are traveling within your state.

Finally, be patient if at all possible when planning your family vacation this year. Generally, prices start out at relatively elevated price tag. The deals, discounts and savings will arrive as your travel date becomes closer unless the demand has outstripped the supply. Search the major travel deal websites like ReserveMyHome for vacation rentals, Expedia, Cheap tickets and Travelocity for last minute trip deals. This is always the risk but in these time patience is truly a virtue that will pay off in savings that will help you to find your checkbook again and make that fun family holiday again this year. A good idea is to bookmark your favorite travel sites.
